Emergency and First Aid Procedures

If in eyes: Flush with plenty of water. Get medical attention immediately.
If on skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with soap and water. Launder clothing before reuse.
If swallowed: Call physician or Poison Control Center immediately. Give one or two glasses of water and induce vomiting by touching back of throat with finger. Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
If inhaled: Remove to uncontaminated atmosphere.
Special Precaution: Consumption of alcohol before or after exposure to Thiram may result in symptoms of nausea, fatigue or flushing.

Steps to Be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled
All personnel involved in clean up should follow good industrial hygiene practices. Wear proper gear. Obtain maximum ventilation. Recover free liquid. Cover spill area with absorbant. Dike to prevent spread. Sweep up contaminated absorbant and place in container for proper disposal. Wash area with strong detergent solution and rinse thoroughly. Recover wash and rinse water for proper disposal. Allow area to air and dry before reuse.
Waste Disposal Method
Dispose of material, spill residue, wash water and containers in a method consistent with Local, State and Federal health and environmental regulations. A spill of 5 gallons (10 # actual Thiram), is reportable to the National Response Center (800) 424-8802, under the comprehensive Environment Response, Compensation & Liability Act.
