Stump-Not works by chemically breaking down the fiber of the tree. A tree stump is very dense, and it is impossible to burn more than the outside surface. Our product allows the tree stump to become porous and it will absorb kerosene or fuel oil, allowing it to burn very hot right down to the roots. The process takes about 8 weeks to complete. You start by cutting the stump as low to the ground as possible. Next you drill several holes into the stump and fill with Stump-Not. Water is added to the powder and the stump should be covered with plastic. After about 4 weeks, the liquid will get completely absorbed into the stump. Then you fill the holes with kerosene or fuel oil, and cover again. When the liquid is absorbed, you remove the plastic, fill the holes again and ignite. The stump will smolder and burn until there is nothing left.
